Babukins has been having a fun time in Switzerland - he went to his first Swiss party last weekend, and we've also started meeting other foreign moms-and-kids here. He's really talking lots, and today, he said, "Two Changjinglu, das und das."

It's been so busy that I barely remember when we got back from our Germany&Spain&Germany vacations. After mailing out the final version of my MA thesis paper earlier this afternoon, I decided to catch up on the blog. Babukins did not enjoy the European heatwave we experienced while in Berlin, which made Formentera almost seem not-hot the week we were there. What can I say? The little dude loves the sun, the sand and the ocean :D

Hello! It's been a while since our last post thanks to a funny internet connection in London, but now that we're in Switzerland again...! Babukins has been enjoying the lovely weather here as you can see from this picture :D

Hong Kong 2010!

Babukins is heading back to Hong Kong for a short vacation. Before we leave, here is a picture of the tot at the zoo this past weekend. He is such an animal lover!

Potty Time?

Hi, Friends. It's been a while since we last updated our blog - sorry! It's been hectic over here in Switzerland (and super cold, but not colder than Canada). Babukins is in the process of being potty trained, as you can see from the pics! He understands so much in all different languages and says the cutest things, such as, "I love you" Sweet!!!! Best wishes for you all in the Year of the Golden Tiger!

Haiti Earthquake

I was about to post yet another picture of the Babukins when I realised what I should be focusing on today is the relief efforts in Haiti. Natural disasters are always sad, but when they happen again and again to a country that is already deep in poverty, it is especially heartbreaking. As was said at the UN yesterday by Clinton, what we can do now is donate money to make sure these relief efforts get enough food, water and first-aid equipment to improve and preserve the health of those rescued.

Rainy Days at the Mall

Babukins enjoyed a visit from his Swiss grandparents last weekend. They went to Madame Tussaud's, and we all went to St. Paul's/Tate Modern/Shakespeare's Globe and Westfield's. It was so rainy that we spent another day after that at Westfield's with Babukins' friend. They love the playground there!
