Kung-fu Babukins

Babukins has been having a relatively quiet weekend although he did head from Soho to LKF to the IFC on Friday night. The little dude walked all the way (okay, maybe he got carried part of the way...). He just finished hanging out at the park, where he was quite captivated by a toddler's car AND the yellow signs they'd placed out to mark spot that might be wet (he wanted to take one home!).

Anyway, since there aren't any new pictures of Babukins, I thought I'd add one of him from when he was a little baby. Check out the Kung-fu pose! Wacha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday, Babukins went to Discovery Bay for the first time with JJ, JJ's mom and Auntie J. We thought it'd be nice to bring the boys to the beach, but all Babukins did was sleep on the tatami mat! He did have a lot of fun eating beside JJ in their side-to-side highchairs though (JJ can talk now and told his mom he wanted to Babukins to sit closer - cute!). Anyway, here's a picture of Babukins eating his organic blueberries... yummmmmmyyyyy!

No Pics of Baby Mo

Babukins took the ferry to TST to meet up with his friend, Baby Mo. Baby Mo and his parents are leaving to go back to Toronto tomorrow, so the little boys won't get to meet up again for a while. We went baby shopping since Baby Mo has a wedding to attend :). Since I don't have any pictures from the outing yet, here's a picture of Babukins from when he was less than 3 months old! What a cutie!!!!!!!!

Cool New Foot Rattles

Check out these cool new foot rattles that have arrived in our store! They also come in orange... with a cat's face instead of a frog's. I wish I'd found these when Babukins was smaller!

Stanley with a Bud

Yesterday, Babukins and JJ went to Stanley together [with their moms]. It's such a nice place for families to chill out and wander around. Babukins had so much fun playing with "big brother" JJ - you should've seen the two laughing/squealling together. Anyway, we were lucky to have beautiful weather... and to make it back to Central before it started raining cats and dogs! (Boo, Babukins' mom dropped her mobile on the bus though!) Babukins has been sweating like a little oink and now runs around in just his nappies. Yes, it's boiling here in Hong Kong.

In addition to walking around in the park (and hanging out at the IFC), we've started going swimming again. This past Sunday, Babukins had a whale of a time in the kiddy section of the pool. Playing in water sure makes the heat a bit more bearable....

Collectable Organic Toys from Germany

Yay! A few lovely, collectable toys from Germany have arrived! You've heard of toys with music boxes, but have you heard of toys with built-in lavender scent? Wow! I sure wish I'd found the lavender toy when Babukins was younger to help him sleep better :)

Babukins enjoyed another day of nice weather in Hong Kong. This independent little boy shows us that he's totally in control in this video. Haha, ignore the lady's talking on the phone in the background... and my not being able to rotate the video. :)

The Peak with Baby Mo

Babukins met Baby Mo for the first day today! They were both born in the same year, so maybe they'll get to be classmates some day! They spent some time at the Peak checking out the view... and the shops while their parents "pigged out". Hee! Check our Babukins in this Qing hat. ->

Almost Mother's Day!

Wow, we're having such beautiful weather here in Hong Kong. I think Babukins will try out the outdoor pool next week - I went swimming yesterday, so I know what kind of equipment/gear we'll have to bring ourselves. What's Babukins been up to? Well, he has been having a great time hanging out at the park, where he now confidently walks by himself. Today, for the first time, we went down there without his buggy. Can you believe Babukins walked all the way to the clubhouse, through the park and then back to the flat [almost] all by himself! Yay!

Anyway, I'm looking forward to my second Mother's Day. "Happy Mother's Day" to all the other moms out there!

Budgies

Babukins had quite a whale of a time at d-i checking out their birdies today. They have budgies and lovebirds there (is that what they're called?). Anyway, it's a good idea that Babukins is exposed to animals at an early age so that he develops a love for them. Yes, Babukins, animals are your friends!!!

I am baby - hear me roar!

Babukins has developed a new way of communicating... roaring. Actually, it's something shrieking and roaring, but regardless, it's LOUD. Here's a picture of him at the park by a relative's building. You can't tell, but behind the cute facade is roar waiting to surprise everyone! :)
