The beginning of a new week!

Apologies for not writing an update last week - things were so hectic with the intensive summer course. There was time to take Babukins to Eid in the Square on Saturday though - he really enjoyed the music there, but unfortunately, he was not allowed to get his face painted due to his young age, so his mom (I) had to get a little face paint just to show the little guy. Other than that, he's been going to the park a lot to enjoy this "Indian Summer" we've been having. The Princess Diana Memorial Playground is still our favourite, but here is a picture of Babukins in St. James' park. :)

Princess Di's Memorial Playground

We're been back in London for a week now, and our newest discovery (and favourite place) has been the Princess Diana Memorial Playground in Kengsington Gardens/Hyde Park. It has all different sections for children to develop different skills, and security is excellent since the guard only lets in people with children.

It's been quite hectic since Babukins' mom is studying International Community Development here now, but that it's the weekend, ... :)

Back to London!

Woo, what a week - Babukins had to stay in Switzerland while his mommy went to start school in London and have all their stuff moved from a locker to their new flat. Now she's come back to pick him up, so it's "Bye Bye, Switzerland"... for now.... Here is a pic of the little guy with a couple of toddler friends who are part-Kenyan from earlier this week. See, everyone's letting their kids have uncut baby hair nowadays!

Swiss Cheese

Grandpa and Grandma brought Babukins to Emmental today to see how Emmental cheese (aka Swiss cheese) is made. He had great fun there, running around the 3 floors based around an actual cheese factory on display.

We'll be leaving Switzerland soon, so it's time to thank Grandma and Grandpa for showing us such a wonderful time here. :)

Dong Ping

On the way back from our day trip to Zurich, Babukins (who has spaghetti sauce on his face in this picture) and I met an older Swiss woman on the train. Normally, this would not be worth mentioning, but this extraordinary woman was actually with her son, a disabled Chinese boy (Dong Ping) whom she adopted while living in China years ago. People like her are the ones that truly make a difference in the lives of others - she's an inspiration to us.

Impromptu Mountain Retreat

It's been a few days since our last entry, but we've been away on an improptu mountain retreat in Rigi Kaltbad. This was immediately following our trip via boat to Neuchatel with Grandma and Grandpa, which was just gorgeous!

Anyway, the picture of Babukins with that nasty cut from a tumble is from the boat. The pic below is of the tot playing in Rigiland, a playground for children beside the place we were staying on the mountain. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and if I may say so myself, that picture is so Swiss!
